Simple pleasures are what Barbara Eames enjoyed most in life. Whether that meant a peaceful stroll through the woods or just spending time with her grandchildren, the Waterford resident lived for the moment. Mrs. Eames died Monday at St. Joseph Mercy of Oakland in Pontiac of an infection due to complications from surgery. She was 89.

Rita Anne O'Keefe, 69, of Fulton, died Nov. 28, 2007 at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital in Fulton after a long illness. She was a graduate of Phoenix High School and lived in the area most of her life. Mrs. O'Keefe worked at Pontiac Nursing Home in the late 1980s. She enjoyed camping, reading, fishing with her boys, and spending time with her family and her Bunko group.
