As an owner of a 2004 Impala, I was curious to see how GM improved on the car. It must be said that I regarded my 04 as the best vehicle I ever owned. That title now goes to the 2006. This is the best driving large American sedan I have ever driven. The overall package works quite well together.

Jeff Gordon won the first pole of the Car of Tomorrow era, putting his Chevrolet in the top starting spot at Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday. Gordon ran a lap at 125.453 mph to win his fifth career pole at Bristol. He beat Evernham Motorsports teammates Kasey Kahne and Elliott Sadler, who qualified second and third.

Four-time Nextel Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon grabbed the pole for Sunday's Food City 500 Nextel Cup race at the famed Bristol Motor Speedway. The No.24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet circled the 0.533-mile, high-banked short track in 15.295 seconds (125.453 m.p.h.).
